Are you ready to start bidding on Government of Canada procurement opportunities? First stop: registering your business on SAP Business Network through the CanadaBuys portal.
At BidWatch, we’ve helped suppliers navigate public sector procurement. Here’s a clear, step-by-step guide to help you register, set up your company profile, and complete the mandatory Government of Canada questionnaire, so you’re ready to bid with confidence.
1. Start Your SAP Business Network Registration
To get started, head over to the official:
👉 SAP Business Network registration page via CanadaBuys
📌 Important: Use only this link—registering here ensures Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is added to your customer list automatically.
2. Enter Your Company Info
On the registration page, fill in your legal business name, head office address, and country of operation.
📌 Tip: Not sure of your official business name or address? Use the CRA GST/HST Registry to verify.
3. Set Up Your User Account
Next, fill in your personal details—name, email, username, password, and notification language. You can check a box to use your email as your username for convenience.
📌 Tip: Be sure to enter an email address for receiving orders—this can be a shared inbox or distribution list.
4. Define Your Products and Services
Expand the “Tell us more about your business” section and select at least one category that reflects what your company offers.
5. Agree to the Terms
Before finishing registration, read and accept the Terms of Use and SAP’s Privacy Statement. Check the boxes and hit "Register."
6. Confirm Your Email
You’ll receive a confirmation email. Click "Activate" to finalize your account.
7. How to Log in Later
Once registered, log in by visiting CanadaBuys.ca, clicking "Account Access" in the top menu, and following the prompts to “Log into SAP Business Network.”
8. Complete the Government of Canada Supplier Questionnaire

Log into your account.
-
Click your initials in the top-right and select "Company Profile."

-
The questionnaire will pop up. Make sure your pop-up blockers are turned off.
